The Grateful Journey Journal

Good morning all. It's another beautiful day here in the corrupt state of Illinois. Per usual I have awaken with plenty of things to be grateful for.

1. Wal-Mart was a madhouse last night. The store in the evening is always crowded and they never have enough staff to open up appropriate amounts of register. Then you have the self-check lanes where people use them with way to many items and not having any idea of what they are doing. You may wonder what I'm grateful for in this case? It's the fact with all those people standing in line tired, screaming kids and having other things to get done. Nobody freaked out and went on a Wal-Mart rampage. Really, that is how bad our local Wal-Mart may become someday, because of their ignorance in lacking adequate staff to help customers. During the day they have twice as many registers open with less than half the shopper load. Another reason to be grateful is that I'm not one of the managers there that has to deal with the backlash.

2. My wife is what you could call a "bitch", not in a absolutely terrible way. A way that does get under your skin at times, but also makes her more attractive at the same time. I'm grateful that I have a woman that cares passionately about everything she believes in.

3. We finally received all our back mail from the post office at our new home. There was some kind of confusion for our postman and he had sent back almost everything since our change of address took effect. Luckily, the first day he didn't send back the most important piece, MONEY! Anyways it all got worked out and the mail will come at a normal rate. The postman did come to the door and apologize for any trouble this may have caused. This also filled me with gratefulness.

Do your best to be kind to others, love the ones who love you and find some time to relax and enjoy the gift of life.
