Early B-Day Present

In less than two weeks I'll be turning 35 years young. Hooray for me. Hooray for life. Hooray for beer. Oops, my aging mind got the best of me there, now back to my original point. Awhile back my wife came home from a shopping excursion with our youngest daughter with an early birthday present for me.

Drum roll please...................
It's a Playstation 3
Not only was it a present that appeals to myself and most men my age, but also something that every teenage boy across the country longs for. Yes, the most hard-core gaming system made to date along with being a Blu-Ray Disc player. Really when she gave it to me I wasn't in total shock, because both my wife and I are pretty good at getting each other what we really want. I just wasn't expecting it so early.

In addition to the system itself she also bought me three games; Inside The Nba 09, Monopoly and Sega Superstars Tennis. The later two games were meant more as family time games for our enjoyment with the new video game system. The basketball graphics are unreal, almost as if you are playing or controlling a real life figure. The game includes options to play in season, franchise and a new mode called The Life. Where you play as an up and coming baller working his way through the streets to the D-League and finally onto an NBA roster with the possiblity of reaching super stardom. Monopoly as you can imagine is not much different than the board game with the exception of not needing the board and handing money back and forth. The graphics on this game are also very good and the game play was unexpectedly addicting. We all have fun playing the game as a family. The tennis game has equally good as graphics with Monopoly, but the game play is boring. Which means the game will most likely sit un-played until we trade it in for another game.

Now for the Blu-Ray player. I wasn't a big believer in the Blu-Ray experience as a whole since they won the HD DVD war, but I have been made a believer. BIG TIME! The picture is so amazingly clear and vibrant it's like having our own movie theater in the living room. It probably helps that we bought a new Sony TV not long before my present arrived. If you don't have a Blu-Ray player and you have the means to purchase one, don't wait any longer.

I would like to thank my wife for being so thoughtful and loving with giving me my present early. She is the best half of our whole and my best friend along with being so very beautiful. I would like to thank my children for being gorgeous, wonderful and loving their Daddy so very much. Finally, I would like to thank God or Jesus or Allah or Buddha or Alanis Morissette, whomever may be watching from up above for giving me the privilege of living my life.

There is also another present that will be arriving either on or just before my actual B-day. This one is a combo present which includes Mother's Day, my B-Day and Father's Day. That little (for now) present is our latest edition to the McSpazz clan "Scooby!" Yes, a little Great Dane pup as the newest baby to our family. Hope he can keep up with us.
